A small studio that does infrastructure properly
Sheerwater Studios was founded in 2024 in Woking, Surrey. We build and run the systems that other work depends on: servers, clusters, pipelines and private AI.
Who leads it
Nayeem An-noor founded the studio. He has more than five years of hands-on experience across Linux and Windows administration, VMware and Hyper-V, Azure and AWS, networking, Ansible, Terraform and Kubernetes.
His work has included research computing and high-performance computing, emergency-services systems and public-sector infrastructure, and he has held UK security clearance.
He is based in Woking and works with clients across Surrey, London and the Thames Valley, in person and remotely.
How we describe ourselves. Sheerwater is founder-led. We do not claim a large in-house team. Extra build capacity comes from contract engineers who work under the founder's direction.
How we work
UK-led, built with a wider team
Product direction, architecture, security decisions and client contact stay in the UK. Build work is shared with a small network of contract engineers, including engineers in Bangladesh, so projects keep moving. Every change is reviewed before it reaches you.
Fixed scope and fixed price
You get a written scope before work starts. If something changes, we agree the change in writing first.
Your work stays yours
Everything we build lives in your repositories and accounts. Contractors never hold your production credentials, and every contractor signs a confidentiality agreement and assigns their work to us so we can assign it to you.
Plain reporting
Weekly demos, a handover runbook and honest notes about what did not work.

We hire engineers and designers by the project, with paid trial tasks and written contracts.
